Covington Family Math Night - Nov 4
The Covington PTA is bringing Family Math Night on November 4th, 5:30-7:00 pm to our campus for the first time! Hosted in partnership with Mathnasium, this free, drop-in event is designed to help students explore math in a fun, pressure-free environment through hands-on games and activities.
Event Highlights:
Interactive & Fun: Features 16 hands-on game stations tailored for two age groups (TK–2nd and 3rd–6th), plus a prize spin wheel!
Flexible & Self-Paced: It typically takes 20–30 minutes to complete the game challenges for a target grade level, making it easy to drop in around your family's evening routine.
Family Experience: Parents and kids play through stations together at their own pace.
Student Volunteers Needed!
Calling out 6th graders to run the game stations and assist younger students. Volunteers need to arrive 30 minutes before the event to receive a quick training from Mathnasium staff. Dinner will be provided by the PTA to appreciate their help! And they will have time to play the games themselves (advanced options will be provided too).
